versola-cli installs a single versola command. It checks your machine, pulls the Versola images, generates the configuration and runs the stack. This page installs the CLI. You need a shell on macOS, Linux or Windows and network access to GitHub.
Install
macOS and Linux:
curl -fsSL https://raw.githubusercontent.com/versolauth/versola-cli/main/install.sh | sh
The script downloads a prebuilt binary into ~/.local/bin and needs no sudo. You can read it first: install.sh.
Windows (PowerShell):
iwr https://raw.githubusercontent.com/versolauth/versola-cli/main/install.ps1 -useb | iex
The script installs versola.exe into %LOCALAPPDATA%\versola and needs no administrator rights. You can read it first: install.ps1.
The prebuilt binary matches your OS and CPU (amd64 or arm64 on macOS and Linux, amd64 on Windows). The CLI version is independent of the Versola version you deploy later.
Check the result
Open a new terminal, so that PATH is reloaded, and run:
versola version
It prints the installed CLI version. If the shell says command not found, add ~/.local/bin (Windows: %LOCALAPPDATA%\versola) to PATH. The installer prints a hint when the directory is missing from it.
To update the CLI later, run versola upgrade. It verifies the download against the release checksums.
